VISITORS

August 24, 2014 by Phil and Elin Henderson

Every afternoon people came to say their “hello’s and welcome back’s!” Many in the village were pretty much convinced that we would never come back. Even after Phil returned several times, they were sure that the kids and I were gone for sure. So, they were pleasantly surprised when we actually DID show up! As is part of the culture, they come with a little something to welcome us back home. It was so great to see so many friends and realize that my (Elin’s) language hadn’t completely abandoned me! 🙂 It is there in the recesses of my mind apparently and slowly coming back up to the surface!
