CLEANING CREW

August 24, 2014 by Phil and Elin Henderson

As soon as we arrived there were LOTS of children to greet us. The boys were anxious to play soccer with Elias again, but the soccer field had been overgrown with weeds and thorns.

The next morning we woke up to find a whole crew of boys out in the field working away to clear up the field so that they could play.

When he was in the US Elias’s football coach and his family donated a bag full of clothes for the children in our area. This was a great way to share this with the kids. Each boy who helped out got a new shirt!!

Soccer is now up and running!! Still playing with the old, flat ball, but they don’t mind stopping every 15 minutes or so to pump it up again! Hopefully we can pick up a new ball before too long
