“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.“ – Mathew 28:19-20
Between Sept. 8th and 24th Mike Goddard and I (Randy) had the privilege of teaching on Evangelism and Discipleship at three different churches in the Asunción area. We were invited as guest teachers for the twelve hour course for the Intensive Bible Institute of Paraguay (IBIP).
We did team teaching (switching off every hour or so), three hours a night for four nights in each church.
It was a great time of interaction with the students, members of local churches who desire to learn more about God’s Word, grow spiritually, and be effective tools in His hands.
The course was attended by between 50-60 people, from all age groups, spread out throughout the three churches over the three weeks.
Our desire was to share a Biblical perspective on what the Gospel is, how to share it effectively, what discipleship is, and how these things relate to world evangelization and reaching ethnic groups with the message of salvation … and their responsibility and important part in it.
