March, 2013

March 21, 2013 by randy_wood

Thank you for your prayer for us these past six weeks or so.  Randy finished his travels for Jan/Feb.
I am glad he is home, snow shoveling isn’t really my thing.  (I am grateful he is home for other reasons as well.)  He is home for about six weeks and then off again.  Randy has one more of a three part series of  classes on the Conflict = Opportunity he is teaching with our church body and a few other churches that have joined us in these teachings.

We have had the great privilege of hosting a young family of five for 10 days.  They are looking to do a church plant in Milwaukee, so have had a lot of meetings and house hunting to do.  They have a four yr. old boy and a set twin girls who are two yrs. old.  So with our own grand kids here some of the time, our place was a busy one. We enjoyed having little ones around again.

We are gearing up for our church missions conference held a weekend in  April.
So life stays a busy stream of ministry, work and play.
We have had a few nice snow falls.  We like to take the kids sledding at one of the near by parks,  and of course do hot cocoa at McDonald’s afterward.

April:  We will both make a trip to Pennsylvania, for a Symposium with others from our NTM stateside locations.  We will be looking at how we can be more effective doing  member care for our stateside missionaries.  Randy will be traveling to Paraguay, South America to do two more SYIS (Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills) workshops with NTM missionaries.

May:   He will do two more SYIS workshops with the Staff at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
June:  We will both make a trip to Missouri for our Enrichment Retreat.  We will meet with many missionaries just getting to the United States or just leaving for their four year assignment.

GOD continues to remind us of what HE says in: Matthew 9:36-38  But when he (Jesus) saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.  Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;   Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.

Thank You very much for your hearts for the LORD and your desire to see HIS NAME go forth to those who need to hear about JESUS.  Thank You for your  prayers and for supporting us in many different ways.  We do see the importance of a team and we are thankful to serve along side with each of YOU.
