“What have we been up to that you have not heard from us in a while?”
MARCH: Teaching a Conflict = Opportunity workshop for our church and other churches in the area. Leadership Retreat Weekend with our church at Shalom House. Spring Break for the grandkids = babysitting
APRIL: Randy and I traveled to Pennsylvania for our New Tribes Member Care Symposium. We had a Mission Conference with our church. Randy had the privilege of facilitating two S.Y.I.S. (Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills) work shops in Paraguay, South America. Linda was able to travel to Oregon to visit family and attend her nephew’s wedding.
MAY: Linda’s parents came to Wisconsin for a two week visit. We had a wedding reception for Steve and Amy (they were married in Feb.) Randy facilitated two more S.Y.I.S workshops at New Tribes Bible School in Waukesha.
JUNE: We traveled to Missouri for our large Missions Conference of Enrichment. Many of the missionaries whom are home on their one year home assignment, and many from different locations here in the States, attended the week long gathering. There were around 400 of us altogether. Folks enjoy seeing those they haven’t seen in years as well as meeting new friends. The children enjoy lots of space to run and swimming in the lake of the Ozarks.
It was a bit frustrating for me (Linda) for I spend the week flat on my back on ice with neck issues. Please pray for me as I seek medical help to find out the causes to the pain and numbness. The only meeting I was able to attend was half the ladies meeting on Wednesday. The speaker was Alicia Britt Chole. She was a very interesting speaker, and so sense I could only stay for half of the session, I decided to buy her book, “Anonymous”.
