The Moi and the Dao tribes live deep in the jungles of Papua, Indonesia, and this November, we plan to send a film crew there – me plus six guys, one who journeyed to Mount Everest. I’ve never been to Indonesia, never filmed overseas, and never traveled with six guys around the world. My spirit of adventure when I was younger has faded just a bit. But, God has encouraged me as I take my silly fears to Him (crocodiles, injury, conflict/unity, safety) and talk with others. I’m getting excited about this trip and long for you to be a part through prayer! We are pumped about the direction this story will take, showing a changed life and showing people who had a part, in “behind-the-scenes” clips.
This September two of the guys (Macon and Nate) are going to Indonesia, to find locations and research the story. Please pray for a profitable trip. After they return, we’ll go over the info they’ve collected and develop the storyline and film ideas.
Writing for Radio
Reach Beyond Your World .com is coming soon, but we need your prayers! This daily radio spot is a challenge to write – to spark the imagination and clearly explain a tribal story in 59 seconds. Please pray for the writers and Aaron Libera, who is heading up this project, to finalize 75 scripts. Once that is done, we’ll be ready to start recording. Oh yeah, and I might get to learn a crazy audio board (and help record these) – so please pray that my brain will wrap around all that new information!
In the Mail
Some lighting equipment is on it’s way to FL, and we are clearing stuff out a room just underneath me tomorrow, in order to set up the studio in there. Please pray for wisdom in purchasing final lighting equipment within budget, and creating a set-up in the room. Thanks for your prayers so far!
Time is in God’s hands
I’m laughing as I write, wondering if all this is possible! I’ve got another list of projects I hope to complete BEFORE I go to Indonesia. Please pray that I will seek God and others first in my priorities and get these jobs done!
