Dear Family & Friends,
Greetings! May God’s grace and peace be with you. We pray that you will be blessed this week by God’s awesomeness! Let us know if there is anything we can pray for you. Thank you so much for your partnership and prayers.
Pray for the phone systems project
This week, Scott’s team commenced the phone project for the home office. If there are no technical difficulties, this project should take about six weeks.
Scott has been on the weekly meetings for the other centers in Missouri and Arizona, as they work with an outside vender to transfer to the new system. Now his team will be meeting weekly to get the home office phone system transferred to a new provider.
There are a few steps to changing phone numbers just on a cell phone, so you can imagine changing hundreds of numbers and using a whole new online interfacing program!
We appreciate your prayers for the current system to keep working until this one is established and for a smooth transition. When all the centers across the USA are using the same system, it will enable easier communication between the centers.
Scott has the new Ethnos360 calendar on the wall. Did you get one?
Hit by sickness
Sickness happens, and its not been super hard so far this year. In the past, we have seen the Lord’s hand even having company that helped us during illness in early 2023. However, we are now in a season where sickness hinders our ministry and family time. We do not want to give a cold to grandpop or grandma, and there is no babysitter available. The archive project is at a point where I can only work on it in the office, so I am anxious to get back in.
Please pray God would give us grace for health as we are now on our third round of colds. We seem to get another one just as we are recovering! Thankfully we are on the mend.
However, despite the colds, Regina was able to work from home to re-write the Celebrate script. The Celebrate video was designed for our 75th Anniversary and needed some updates to the statistics and call to action. Visitors to the home office watch Celebrate during their tour. The next step is to re-record the voiceover.
Thanks for your prayers; I also have a couple of leads for the aviation story. Pray that I can further develop those ideas. Pray also for a logistics miracle as their is no more supply of jet fuel coming into the country of Papua New Guinea, which the planes depend on. Pray they can get some in from New Zealand and find a resolution to the issue.
Bible Celebration!
When I (Regina) first visited the Moi people in 2009 to make a video, Awayo had been a believer for six months. That visit sparked interest for another 100 plus Moi who asked to hear the chronological Bible teaching. As I remember, the missionaries continued discipling the first group of believers (relying on church planting consultants’ recommendation) and then those Moi disciples helped teach the new group.
The missionaries have faithfully served in this difficult-to-reach end-of-the-earth mountainous location, and have finished translating the New Testament (and portions of the old). This dedication is part of why we choose Ethnos360 – we don’t just share the gospel, we strive to establish a mature church.
Prayer
> Pray that all the pieces to the phone system project will go smoothly
> Pray we can recover from sickness and be able to spend quality time with grandpop & make more progress on the archive project.
> Pray we will continue to walk closely with God and find our rest in Him.
> Pray that we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading each moment
> Resolution to the jet fuel situation in Papua New Guinea
