Thanks for your friendship, prayers, and partnership with my ministry. It was encouraging last month, as a missionary stopped through on a tour and commented they gave Awayo to their partners. I’m glad God has provided this video to help connect people with the vision of reaching tribal people like Awayo.
I have a few prayer request to share for this month:
168 Hour Film Festival
God opened doors for me to participate in this Christian film festival with an Orlando team. This is a great opportunity to connect with professionals in the area, and gain more experience on set. The theme this year is the Holy Spirit, and our story is illustrating the verses Psalm 81:8-9.
1. Pray that I will learn much, and be an asset to the team. Pray for the general video shoot to go well, and that we’lwork through any difficulties as a team.
Conference in February & April
Patrick, Chris, David and I will be going to a conference in Nashville this month to represent New Tribes Mission.
2. Please pray for us to make great contacts here and have opportunities to promote our Reach Beyond Your World radio broadcast.
Also in April, I’ll be traveling to one of my supporting churches for a woman’s retreat.
3. Please pray that I will be a blessing and get to know these woman better. Pray that God will direct as I plan what to share. (I’ll be working on that this month.)
Going Long
Desiring to help tribal people know Christ, in 2008, I joined New Tribes Mission as an associate with a 2-4 year commitment. God has given me a desire to serve him through media, and lead me here to the communications department, where that passion is combined with God’s heart for reaching the lost.
Lately, I have been sensing that missions is a long-term commitment for me. “If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run with others.” For most effective ministry, I’d like to invite more people to partner with me. Going far is not something I can do alone! The first place to start is prayer. Would you pray with me on the following:
4. Pray that God would connect me with people who can help with partnership development. (For instance, I need an accountability partner by the end of February.)
5. Please pray that God will direct me in what little steps to take over the next 2-3 years. (We got a lot of great tools at a conference this month.)
6. Pray that I’ll meet new contacts who are concerned for unreached people groups.
I have so much more to tell you, but will save it for another update! I appreciate each one of you as you are my co-workers. Your prayers make a difference. You are a part of reaching EVERY tribe.
