Summer Update

August 5, 2011 by Regina Rodman

Thanks for your faithful prayers for my ministry.  Without God, our human
“accomplishments” amount to nothing. It is only by His power that we yield
everlasting fruit.

Mwinika complete evangelistic lessons

Some of the Mwinika people say, “We understand these truths in God’s Word,
but when we start trying to line them up with what we have been taught
previously  we  just  come  away confused. It seems that God’s Word is
contradictory.”

It’s a common site to see missionary Phil drawing a picture of a tree in the
sand as he talks with villagers.  He explains that the truth of God’s word
is  like  a trunk, but man-made religions branch off the trunk and get
confusing.  Many villagers are agreeing that they want to follow the truth.

Please pray for Phil and Elin as they continue talking one-on-one with the
Mwinikas who have just heard the Gospel. Pray that many of the Mwinika will
truly understand and put their faith in Christ.

Radio Program Wrap-up

We are making a CD of 260 radio episodes to distribute to stations.  It’s
exciting to complete this CD and turn our focus to other projects.

Video editing about Siawi and Uriay people

Macon (my boss) and Dale (a still photographer) came back from Papua New
Guinea with missionary interviews to edit, and we just released a new 3
min video online this week. Pray that we’ll be able to
come out with several more short videos in the coming months.

Watch the new video in my previous post.

Writing for the website

We’ve added new pages to our website about the Interface experience in Papua
New  Guinea. The homepage will feature some new stories or ways to get
involved.  I’ve also helped a small bit with getting the pages ready to edit
for the new NTM Canada site.  We’ll be creating more international sites for
NTM, and I’m helping a small bit to get the pages ready for them to edit.

Siar people begin Bible lessons

The Siar people are learning about Genesis and will study evangelistic
lessons  for several months.  Pray that the people will understand and
believe as they compare the truth of God’s Word with what their ancestors
have always told them.

Travels to meetings and to midwest

The Enrichment meetings in Missouri in June was very encouraging.  After
that I traveled to my home church in Michigan for Pastor Larkin’s retirement
dinner, then visited friends and supporters in the area the following week,
which was encouraging.

We’ll see what adventures this fall holds…
