Where did God come from?

Tonight at ESL class we read the first two pages of The Lamb book. I help with the kids while their parents learn English. By the way, how do you keep a two-year-old and a four-year-old who speak Spanish to stay in a tiny room when their mom is right outside the door? =) I have yet to find out! Time to learn a few new phrases in Spanish…

So after we read the first two pages (from the Spanish Lamb book) and had an 8 year old translate for us into English, one of the girls said that answered the question she always had about God…where did he come from? It was so exciting!

It was basically explaining Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God” – that God was not born and he will not die.

Hopefully next week we will do a few more pages in the book next week and learn about angels, Satan and the first day of Creation.

The Lamb book is a simplified version of the chronological story of the Bible for kids, found in the Firm Foundations and The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus.
