Your Impact … in Paraguay!
In 2010, one of our Spanish mobilizers, Mike Goddard, shared the video Awayo: Fear to Faith at the Spanish CIMA (like Urbana) conference to over 3,000 attendees. Luís Rodriguez of Paraguay shared that after seeing Awayo his thinking was changed. He is now preparing to be a Bible translator!
Another one of our mobilizers in Columbia, Wayne Smith, has used the Spanish Awayo dozens of times along with what he shares. And he wrote “Es parte íntegra de la mano que hace la obra.” or according to google translate [Visuals are] “an integral part of the hand that does the work.” The videos we create have an impact all the way to Latin America.
And speaking of videos, you can view one of our newer videos called 8 Minutes (it’s under 3 minutes long!) in English, Spanish, Norwegian, or (new this week) in French.
Vision Video in the works
We are planning to film a video with Larry Brown, our fearless leader. So far we’ve had to cancel the shoot twice due to scheduling conflicts. Pray that we’ll be able to film that in May.
Trip to PA/NJ
Thanks for praying for my trip to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It a was a joyful time to be at my friends wedding, visit my cousins, aunts and uncles, and also share with two churches, two small groups, and have a surprise ticket to attend an Among Friends women’s conference. I’m glad to be back to work.
Bible Teaching in a Malaumandan village
The morning of April 19th the Creation to Christ Bible teaching began. Please pray for the two main Malaumandan Bible teachers, Alen and Aisaka as they communicate these lessons well. Pray that they would be able to handle the teaching load for this 6 week course. Missionaries Bob and John help with the review and questions and may also assist with an occasional lesson point.
A good crowd of people have come to the teaching sessions twice a day so far. Please pray that their minds would be open to the Truth of God’s Word. These folks have heard different bits and pieces from the Bible, but don’t yet understand what Christ has done for them.
