WAYUMI Trip Quite the Success

Students trying to get some words from a real live "Joti" man

What a week it was! 81 of us transported to the middle of PA for a week, hearing from experienced church planters and “visiting” a tribal village, equipped with real “live” tribal people. Wow, talk about challenging. And that is exactly what we hope for. Students saw first hand the challenges of learning a new language and trying to understand how different people think. They heard from NTM folks who have actually planted churches in VEN and PNG. Each step of the way was explained in common sense terms so we could see that reaching the unreached is do-able with the proper trainning and commitment. And we have a great place to start…NTBI which these students have finished; and then the NTM Missionary Training Cetner in MO. Many of our students will be going there this August, many more next January and then even more in August of 2011. Praise the Lord for these future co-workers. Please pray now that the Lord will send many new students to NTBI to take their place. So far we have about 85 applications for NTBI Jackson and 90 or so for NTBI Waukesha. We have room for more, so if you know of anyone wanting a good Bible education, please tell them about us and encourage them to visit at www.ntbi.org. Thanks so much!
