On Saturday, May 18th, our two NTBI campuses (Waukesha and Jackson) celebrated another graduating class! Combined, we had 111 students graduate with a remarkable percentage of 72% of them desiring to enter full- time missions work!
At Waukesha, while we graduated 60 students we also had Harold and Lois Holeman retire from our staff. Harold and Lois joined NTM 50-years ago and were part of the first NTBI class! In 1962 NTBI started in downtown Milwaukee at the Milwaukee Tabernacle and moved to Waukesha in 1963. Harold said, “In those days, Bible School was only one-year long. Because we didn’t have enough space we had to move on to allow space for the incoming class!”
The Waukesha ceremony was held at RiverGlen Christian Church and the seniors selected Adam Myers as their keynote speaker.
From Jackson, Rex Schaffner says, “Grace Church in Jackson was the location of some important business in light of eternity Saturday May 18, when NTBI Jackson held its graduation service.”
The senior class of 51 students chose Scot Keen as the main speaker, as well as Deborah Hatton and Aaron McCormick as class speakers. Common to all three was the theme of continuing to think on heavenly things, things that count for eternity and to keep trusting the Lord for wisdom and strength for life. Prior to the ceremony at Grace, NTBI held a brunch for the senior class and their families. The day wrapped up with a reception at NTBI to wish the graduates farewell.
For both schools, please pray with us for our enrollment. While we have a great incoming class enrollment has been trending downward. Let’s together, “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Serving together with you,
Ron & Carrie Lindsey
