Karis is out of her Operation

August 13, 2013 by Simon and Annika Flanagan

Hi friends,

We are so happy, Karis is out of her operation! We have so much to thank our gracious God for!!!

The operation went well, it was long and difficult but a success. They did nick an artery, but it is repaired and should not be a problem. She did have a suspected irregular heart rhythm but once they added some calcium and potassium this leveled out.

The next 24hrs is a critical time for Karis. It is hard to sit with her as she has so many lines coming from her, she is swollen and discolored. We are told all of this is normal; there are many more nurses and doctors around her as it will take some hr.’s for her to stabilize. By stabilize we mean that her blood pressure would level out, her temp rise to normal levels and her HR lower a little.

They have just done an ultrasound of her heart at 11pm and all looks good.

Please pray that she will have no infection, that she will be stable and that we can get some rest.

Thank-you for watching and praying with us!!
In His grip and under His lavish grace,

Simon and Annika
