Thanksgiving

November 15, 2007 by Stephen and Rachel Narwold

Well, with Thanksgiving approaching quickly, I have begun to think about things like “I wonder how many people actually know what we’re doing for our first thanksgiving as a couple” and “Maybe I should write a post about it”. You know… what everyone thinks about this time of year.

Well, we will be going to Ohio to hang out with Rachel’s extended family. They have always had a huge family gathering, whereas my family tends to have a friend or two over, and it’s never been a huge deal. So we’ll be leaving on Tuesday evening right after work, and driving straight through. I plan on working a half-day so I can come home and take a nap before the trek. So you could keep us in your prayers on Tuesday night.

Before we arrive in Ohio, we’ll stop for breakfast with Matt and Erica (My brother and sister-in-law). I’m excited about seeing them again. It’s always fun to hang out with brothers.

Then after we leave Ohio, we’re spending the night in Lafayette… which happened to be the halfway point between us and all of our Michigan friends (one of whom is now an Indiana friend). I’m also very excited about that.

Basically, between Tuesday and Sunday night is a welcome break from what has become “ordinary.” We’re both very excited to see all the people we get to see, especially since it’s my first Thanksgiving as part of that family.

His Truly,
-Stephen

Hope you have a GREAT time. Be sure to get that nap 🙂
We did many all nighters to Orlando.

    We’ll be praying for you.
