New Flipboard Magazine

July 11, 2014 by Stephen and Rachel Narwold

As some of you know, being “Enroute” to my ministry with NTM does not mean that I haven’t started yet. There’s a lot going on in my department (Communications) at the NTM USA home office, and there’s even some work I can contribute to remotely.

In the last two weeks, I’ve been able to be a part of launching NTM’s presence on a new service called “Flipboard.” I say new because I hadn’t heard of it before, but with over 90 million users, I’d say it’s fairly popular. Flipboard is, in essence, a highly visual feed-reader, designed to turn all your social network feeds into an attractive, easy-to-use, mobile device-based magazine. It also gives users the ability to create magazines that can be viewed as a whole. It’s this capability that I was given the opportunity to fiddle with. The result is the New Tribes Mission Flipboard Magazine

So flip away, and tell your friends! The link is http://flip.it/f5f8t. You can put it on facebook, twitter, google+, a billboard, your neighbor’s garage door, whatever! Just get creative. Flipboard is available online or as an app on Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows 8, so you should be able to find something that works. Let me know if you see anything that needs improvement or ways it could be made more useful for you.
