Do your clothes match? Then they must be married! Here matching clothes is optional, and if they actually match you can say that by saying they’re married. I guess we’re into weddings in the US! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any of you who are likely reading this. But here you wouldn’t say it’s been a long time. You’d just say that it’s been 2 days, whether you were talking in Jula or French. It gets the point across that it’s been a while, but you just say it’s been 2 days. After I went to Dakar for 3 weeks, I came back and people said, “Wow, it’s been 2 days! Where have you been?”
