A week in the village

February 26, 2015 by Susie

Here are some pictures of last week in two different villages, where I accompanied the national women’s committees of my denomination a couple West African countries.  They say that a pictures paints 1000 words, so I won’t add too many more words.  Thanks for your prayers!

Here is the crowd watching the evangelical movies in Jula.
The pastor was sharing the gospel in Jula and then it was being translated into their language.

Playing Follow the Leader with the kids. It doesn't take much language ability to be able to play and laugh.

Here's the house we stayed in at the first village. Eight of us slept in here. The days were very hot and the nights were cold, so I was glad that the house kept some of the heat for the night, making possible to sleep at night even if I couldn't take a nap in the blistering hot afternoon.

(A nap would have been nice because we were every night until at least 11pm and had to be up by 5.)
Here I am, reading my Bible in down time.

Leaving at 6am to get back to where we could take a bus home.

Speaking of dust, he was clean and had on black pants before we started that 45 minute ride to find the bus.

Like you said “a picture is worth a thousand words” Missionaries, girl you have all the fun. I’m sure the Lord is glad that you are there. Not many of us would be so adveturesome. We will keep praying and helping. If you need anything let us know.
