Have you thought about what you’re having for Easter dinner yet? I know what the pastor’s family here is having. From the picture, can you guess? Yes, a month ago the pastor came back from a week away with these two goats, saying that they were much cheaper there and that they’d make a great Easter dinner. Two goats for dinner, coming right up!
It actually reminds me of the Jews and the Passover feast. Each family was told to take a lamb without any imperfections, keep it at the house for 10 days, and then slaughter it. I can imagine lots of little girls getting rather attached over the course of 10 days with a lamb in the house. These goats have been right outside my front door for a month. I haven’t named them, haven’t given them attention, and haven’t done much else with them. I figure it’s best if I don’t get attached before they become dinner.
