I had a great idea. There were NTM people in visiting from Senegal, a family was coming in from the village to town, and those of us who were in town were actually in town, all at the same time. I thought we could all get together for a meal. But since if everyone came it would be 18 people and I don’t know how to cook for 18 people, I thought that we could try out the cafĂ© near our new houses. It says that it has pastries, ice cream, etc., and there are pictures of burgers and other yummy foods on the menu. The first of us to get there, though, found out that there is only one thing on the lunch menu besides soda. Peas. Well, I guess that makes the choice easy as to what to order. And when word got out, the number of people who were joining us for lunch dwindled to just 6 (though I must admit that 7 couldn’t come even before they found out about the peas). I could cook for 6! Oh well, peas it was. And, as a bonus, they came with French bread. The peas weren’t half bad, and the company was well worth it. Next time, though, I think I may go there in the evening, when they have peas, green beans, and pasta. Oh – and the sign that said they had lots of yummy food? Supposedly that’s what they hope to have some day. Isn’t that faith?
