Stars

Have you ever sat outside on one of those crystal clear summer nights and watched the stars? Have you ever been out in the country where the stars seem to shine so much brighter? I think that I saw the stars the brightest I ever have this last weekend, and I even got to sleep under them, marveling at God’s handiwork.

I was in a village a few hundred miles from here for a wedding. There was a town about 5 miles away that probably had some lights shining during the night, but other than that there was likely no other electricity for about 50 miles. And because it was hot in the house, by 1am I chose to sleep on the porch with the grandma, where it was much cooler. And where there was an awesome view, watching the stars and constellations slowly march across the sky each time I’d turn over. I only wish my star-gazing buddy Anna was along to help me remember the names of all the constellations we could see. 🙂
