Sorry that this post isn’t beautiful with the pictures nicely organized, but I wanted to at least let you see the progress on my house in My Village! In the first picture, you’ll see the guy making bricks for my house. I videoed him and timed him. After his co-worker got the cement and sand and water and everything mixed, it took him about 45 seconds per brick. He must have been exhausted!
In the second picture (at least I hope it will show up second), you’ll see where the foundation is dug for my house! Hopefully later this week they’ll be able to start pouring the foundation and then building up from there! The round hut on the right is a granary, and the houses on the left are my neighbors. And the cow – I guess he’s my neighbor, too!
The third picture (which has the same cow in it), is the view from where my front door will be eventually. That’s my host mom’s courtyard, as you can tell by all the bricks in it.
In the fourth picture (without the cow), it’s the view from where I think one of my living room windows will be. Nice!
Well, I’ll keep you posted, but figured you may at least enjoy a few pictures for now. Thanks for your prayers!
Susie and Jen,
I am sorry that I haven’t written before now, but I have been very sick. The fibromyalgia attacked me suddenly two months ago and then the depression set in and the doctor found a medication that is helping. This has been going on for thirty years or more. It is really manic depression and once in a while I feel really good then it goes the other way and that depression puts me in my chair for weeks at a time and it is horrible. Please pray for me as I do for you and Jen. THANK YOU. The one great comfort I found was in reading His Word and memorizing some verses. That is where the COMFORTER was of my greatest Helper. Praise His Holy name!
Your house is a definite answer to our prayers. and we are SO glad for you that our wonderful Lord and Savior and His abiding love always work for us. I think I realize the difficult position you and Jen are in and we pray for that condition to improve every day. BLESS you for your determination. One day it will all be worth the hard work you are doing when you see the Vegue” people accept Jesus Christ and become new people. I hope that the message will spread like a wild fire and you will be so happy.
God bless you as you labor on His field and He will.
In Christian love,
Pat and Larry
Loved seeing the pictures!
