On Thursday I got back to the city from 9 days in the village. And no, our houses aren’t done yet. But there is, like usual, a little bit of visible progress. First of all, our solar panels are installed on our roofs (sorry I don’t have a picture) and some of the electricity is in! I now have fans and lights, though my fridge isn’t hooked up yet and there is still more work to be done on that front.
Also, as you can see in the second picture, our screens for our doors and windows were delivered. Not installed, but at least delivered. The guy is supposed to be heading out there tomorrow to start installing them.
The metal-worker also came out to take measurements for some of the security additions that have to be made, and I’ve heard that he’s working hard on making the things needed.
There you have it. As usual, a little bit of progress, but still more to go. But I think that once the screens are in and the electricity stuff is finished, then the mason can come and fix up a few things and install the stuff that the metal-worker made. Then it should just be a touch-up coat of paint for all the places that have been messed up and we should be able to move in. Maybe in November? Thanks for your continued prayers!
