Editing in April 2009

April 10, 2009 by

Loron family waiting for Bible translation from N.Ireland.

I am editing a couple of seminars on Animism that I will be showing at our headquarters in Durham, Ontario next month. We want these PowerPoint presentations to become practical tools, for mission representatives to be able to use in sharing the challenge of Unreached People Groups around the world.

Our co-worker in Côte d’Ivoire, Lesley Wolfe, is facing an even more challenging editing process, as she edits the preliminary translation of Genesis 37-50 (the story of Joseph) into the Glaro language. She needs to simultaneously train the Glaro tribe’s people to learn to read well in their own language – and for some of them to develop and write storybooks in the Glaro language, to stimulate interest in reading.

April seems to be crucial for seeing some concrete progress in the electorial process of Ivory Coast, since thousands of people need to be registered before "fair and transparent" elections can take place this year.

Praying for the unreached tribes of Ivory Coast,
