Home in June 2009

We’re back …
… from a good trip to Canada last month. We enjoyed seeing NTMC co-workers & leaders, a cousin in Ohio, a brother in Fort Erie, Ontario, a nephew now gone to Peru as a summer missionary, and our son Nate & Emily (& her family). On June 6th we went to the airport in Atlanta to meet Aaron & Ave’, Abby, Analise – arrving from their 3-year tour in Japan. We will be dog-sitting their Rusty for a couple weeks until they get settled in Albany, Georgia, where Aaron will be serving next. We had hoped to take a trip out west to Idaho to see Mark & Heidi’s newborn (our 5th grandchild) – Josiah Abram Miller was born on June 1st. But several considerations have made that trip not possible in the immediate future. This week we are involved in our local church’s Vacation Bible School activities, and in July I (Theo) will be going to a nearby Ponderosa Bible Camp for a week as the missionary speaker. Our co-workers, Verne & Denny Johnson, are returning for the summer to the remote village in Cote d’Ivoire where they used to work, to encourage the new believers there. The country still has not been able to organize free and transparent democratic elections, to establish a rule of peace. So pray for their safety as well as a fruitful ministry there.
