Hi :),
‘JoeSmiley’ aka Josiah was only 3-1/2 months old when we first saw him, but he sure did a lot of smiling and making baby noises whenever Opa & Nana would give him any attention. So we gave him all the attention we could for 10 days last month. God unexpectedly supplied
so that we could fly to Idaho to visit Mark & Heidi (Miller), Brandon, Austin & Josiah (that’s his registered name, but I named him JoeSmiley.) We got to attend Brandon’s school Open House and see his second grade teacher & classrooms; and Austin (delaying his home-schooled Kindergarten for our visit) even won Opa (that’s me!) in checkers – the new game we taught them. I again was able to take my French Bible class lessons along that I am editting for the Haiti Christian schools, and worked on them the four days Mark was as work. I have now basically finished the 100 lessons, and this week will finish the last 8 review lesson lay-outs.
PRAISE:
1- The Palaka Bible translation helper, Daniel, whose salvation we asked prayer for in August has now expressed his faith in Christ! He comes from a Moslem family, so asks for prayer in his alone-ness.
2- For the provision to be able to visit our fifth grandchild (we had seen our sixth grandchild in August)! Martha’s two brother alternately cared for their mom while we were gone.
3- For near completion of the French Bible lessons for the Haiti grade one class curriculum..
PRAY:
1- continue to pray for the Ivory Coast Glaro Bible translation helper, B.K. and his two wives – that they might soon be saved.
2- for wisdom in what mission projects to pursue as we also care for Martha’s aging mother.
3- for a smooth transition to democratic process and peace in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa.
Smiling as we serve the King,
Theo & Martha Enns
