Don’t you just love moving?

Martha and I have been awed as we watch God line up our next mission assignment. You remember from our previous memos that I started editing a Bible curriculum for grade one for the Haiti Baptist Mission last summer. And now this summer, as I led a couple more groups to Haiti after the earthquake, the Haiti Baptist Mission asked whether Martha & I could move to Haiti for 2 years to finish developing their French Bible curriculum for grades one through six, for their 320 Christian schools in northern Haiti – using the “Firm Foundations: Creation to Christ – Children’s Edition.” In the process of consulting with the New Tribes Mission’s Field Ministries Office, we received an invitation to be a part of revising this material specifically for school curriculums, to facilitate re-translation into other languages, as well.
So God is moving us on, again. We will first move to Sanford, Florida to work with the Firm Foundation revision team for about a year, before moving to Haiti for 2 years to translate the Firm Foundation Children’s School Curriculum into French. And who knows – well, God knows – where we will go next. Uprooting from a home where we have been for the last 4 years while caring for Martha’s folks will not be easy – not emotionally, nor “realistically” in this slump in housing environment – but God is faithful, and will continue to line up the details (and our human hearts) as only He can.
So we ask you to join us as we…
PRAY:
1- for our house to sell quickly, so we can move to Florida for a year, to develop a primary school children’s curriculum for teaching Firm Foundation Bible lessons.
2- Pray for grace and wisdom for us as we again uproot and move on to our new assignment with New Tribes Mission.
3- for the Baptist Haiti Mission schools as they wait for a progessive Bible curriculum in French, which we hope to help them develop over the next 3 years.
PRAISE:
1- for health and strength as we prepare for our on-going New Tribes Mission overseas service.
2- for ministry opportunities which includes a first year close to Mom Enns in Sanford, Florida.
3- for continuing steps towards stability in the country of Côte d’Ivoire, that we had to leave almost six years ago.
Pressing on,
Theo & Martha Enns
