Joy in March 2011

March 17, 2011 by Theo and Martha Enns

You can join us: every day, all day!

Peterson house, with ours in the background - both for sale!            Because JOY doesn’t depend on our circumstances. Martha and I are reading a 90-day challenge about this joy that is ours, for the taking. (See Champagne for the Soul, by Mike Mason.)

So when the new potential buyers found everything they needed in our house (wheelchair ramp for their handicapped child, & fenced-in yard for their toddler) – we rejoiced!

When their own house sale ran into a snag preventing them from immediately signing a contract with us for our house – we still have God’s joy!

When Theo’s part-time janitorial job expanded to include substitute teaching – we rejoiced!

The Haiti Baptist Mission needed more daily input on revising their old Grade One Bible curriculum, which Theo is now doing – & we’re happy we can do this while we’re still not moved to Florida.

If our stuff is all still packed up at the storage facility, ready to move, but we have the Peterson home (also for sale) to “camp out” in – we are still rejoicing!

If the New Tribes Mission project of developing a Firm Foundation Children’s Curriculum for grades 1-5 is waiting for more full-time input – we still have His joy!

And you can have His joy with us, in every circumstance, every day, all day long!

PRAY:

1- We have a serious, potential buyer for our house here in Alabama which could allow us to move to Florida in the next few months.

2- Pray for our ministry support to increase, to free us to work more full-time on the Bible lessons for the 330 Baptist Haiti Mission schools.

3- We are currently editing a provisional set of lessons, for them to be able to teach to their grade one students this coming school year (starting this September.)

PRAISE:

1- My part-time work at the local public school has expanded to include substitute teaching.

2- A Christian professional curriculum developer has started working on the new Firm Foundation Children’s School Curriculum, in Florida.

3- We praise God for His peace as we wait on His timing and provision to move on, while continuing to work on this project already from home.
