Who’s on second?
Well, we are now working on our Second set of 100 pictures for the Firm Foundation Home School curriculum. After Martha collects Bible pictures that might suit the stories in the curriculum, several other missionaries help me critique the content for ideas to give to the artists who will be drawing up our new pictures. A second project for this month is writing Second Grade Bible lessons in French. We will take our rough drafts with us on our trip to Haiti, April 10-26. I will be holding a workshop with Haitian teachers, who will be checking these lessons,
making sure that they communicate easily to their students.
We had a second contract to sell our house – but it also fell through. We feel like it would be advantageous for us to be closer to our NTM Field Ministries office in Sanford, FL, so we covet your prayers for this. But we do praise the Lord for being able to work at these projects from here, even while we wait.
In each of these various projects, God is giving us grace and daily victories (including an NTM church-planting document in French that we helped prepare for its first printing.) Join us as we pray for the 330 schools in Haiti (that’s just those connected to the Baptist Haiti Mission) that have asked us to help develop a systematic Bible curriculum. And pray that God will lead us to more ministry partners who will join us in seeing these children reached for Christ.
PRAISE God with us:
1- for helping us prepare a key NTM church-planting guide in French for its first edition in print.
2- that the First 100 Pictures for our new illustrators & colorists for the Firm Foundation Home School curriculum have been decided on.
3- for God’s encouragement in accomplishing daily goals as we press on in the tasks He gives us to do for the building of His church worldwide.
PRAY with us:
1- as our team decides on pictures for the Second 100 set, that they will accurately depict the Biblical truths we are seeking to teach in the FF international school curriculum.
2- as we write French Bible lessons for the Baptist Haiti Mission’s grade 2 students, and prepare for our 2-week trip to Haiti in April, to train Haitian translation helpers.
3- as we wait on God’s timing for the sale of our home & our move to Florida (near the NTM Field Ministries office) to facilitate our development of these school curriculums.
Awaiting the Coach’s signal to run to second base,
Theo & Martha Enns
