Pictures in February 2012

Three (300) hundred pictures?

As if writing seventy 10-page lessons for each grade isn’t enough… Martha is now helping me collect 300 picture samples from which we can get illustrations for these Bible curriculums. Some of these pictures will become coloring pages for primary school children. Others will become the “pictures say 1000 words” that the children can use to follow and remember the chronology of the through-the-Bible stories. When we go to Haiti in April, we will be meeting with Haitian school teachers, to train them in how to check our Grade Two lessons – to be sure that communicate effectively to their Haitian students. This month, we are also working ahead, with a team from New Tribes Mission, on an international school curriculum. This will be the base version from which we will continue developing grade 3-6 Bible lessons in French for Haiti, when we move to Haiti next year, Lord willing.

PRAY with us:

1- as we lay out sample lessons and collect artwork for the Firm Foundation international school curriculum this month.

2- as we make the needed arrangements for a 2-week trip to Haiti in April, to work with the translation helpers on their French & Creole Grade 2 Bible lesson development.

3- for our house to sell so we can move to Florida for a year (near the NTM Field Ministries office) which would help us develop the Bible curriculum we will be needing for Haiti for grades 3 – 6.

PRAISE God with us:

1- for occasional part-time work substitute-teaching at the local public school.

2- This has also given me contacts and material to get ideas from, in writing Bible lessons that need to be appropriate for the different grade levels.

3- for ministry partners: like Martha helping me do research and compiling charts; school teachers who have lent me books to study; for our financial support partners;

and for yourselves, as you pray for us and with us in our ministry.
