Ullums Update Feb 2014

Dear friends,

We are just now getting around to putting out an update for the year of 2014.  I spent several hours today at our neighbors house.  They had a traditional ceremony that lasts three days long.  Today was the second day.  The purpose of the event was to hang up an offering in the eves of the house that is a sign, or an offering to the spirits.  According to peoples beliefs here, these spirits are the cause of sickness, sleeplessness, bad dreams, and a variety of other maladies.

These times are a mixture of good relationship time, loving the people here, as well as showing interest in their lives. Yet at the same time, we are deeply saddened because of their hopeless existence outside of Christ. We believe that God loves these people and He has placed us here as part of His plan to gather all who will come.

Please continue to pray with us as we prepare material.  We are asking God for a clear open door to begin teaching.  There is still a lot of material that I need to get ready, yet we are ready whenever God would open a  door for us to begin teaching.  Thanks for persevering in prayer with us.
