Happy Advent Friends!
Embracing the wonder of this season has been my (Andrea) theme as of late. I’ve been reading the book “The Greatest Gift” By Ann Voskamp and was reminded again of our reason to stand in awe and wonder over our Amazing God:
“Ravish with wonder that the earth outside your window is tilted right now at just twenty-three degrees, so there are seasons and the vapors of oceans don’t simply amass continents of ice, so the planet’s bulk of six sextillion tons spins perfectly balanced on an invisible axis, spinning you around at one thousand miles an hour, nine million miles a year.”
It’s God’s love and wisdom that keeps it all going and maintained. I stand in AWE!
We wanted to update you on how we’re doing here in Asia Pacific. Our family has been healthy and busy with Preschool, Kindergarten and 9th Grade. Tim has been preparing for a Bible conference that he is teaching at as I write. He took a bus about 15 hours north and will be there for the week. It’s been a tricky but important topic that he’s teaching on, the Trinity!
We’ve also continued to maintain the Mission Home and have hosted several different families this Fall. We have helped several missionary families transition back to the their home countries, have dealt with some intruders who poisoned and killed all 3 of our beloved mission home dogs 🙁 and COVID continues to keep us on our toes with continually changing rules. On a happy note we have started team teaching with a family desiring to learn more about the Gospel, pray with us for the Lazuardi family to be impacted deeply by God’s Salvation Plan!
Thank you so much to each of you that have supported us through your thoughts and prayers these last months. I have dealt with almost a of year of stress related issues and would continue to ask for your prayers to help me through these things. Also please continue to pray with us for the believers in the village. We have not had very good contact with them and plans to get into the village have continued to change and be canceled. These things can be discouraging for us as we so desire to continue to serve the believers but the obstacles are many.
We are SO very thankful for your faithful love and support that has allowed us to live and serve here! We are truly appreciative of you and your kindness to us!
May you have sweet moments of reflection this season and opportunities to stand in AWE of our Amazing God who is Immanuel. He is with us indeed, caring for, rescuing, and being our HOPE for today and the future!
Merry Christmas,
Andrea for Tim, Dina, Abby, Titus, & Torin
