As the holiday season draws to a close and most people’s excitement winds down, our lives are just about to pick up some speed. This Friday, January 1st, we are kicking off the new year by setting sail on our first ever month long partnership development road trip!
Before I tell you about our road trip, just a recap of the last month: Beth & I have been incredibly busy ever since Thanksgiving. I just finished up a 10-week Adult Bible Fellowship (Sunday School) class on the book of Judges that has taken up a good amount of time each week, and Beth has been diligently sending out our newsletter, new prayer cards, brochures and ministry portfolios. This past weekend, our close friends Jeff & Jenny were married, and we were privileged to both be in the wedding party, while Beth was also the florist. We love our friends Jeff & Jenny and the wedding was quite the celebration.
Also, we are praising the Lord for a 5% increase in our support over the month!
Back to our road trip, we will be traveling south for the winter 🙂 making our way down to North Carolina & Florida, then back up through Tennessee & Missouri, with other stops along the way, of course. The purpose of our trip is to make some new friends and potential ministry partners along our route, connect with some of our current partners, and see some family, as well as some old friends.
Specifically, our time in the Tampa area of Florida will focus on connecting with some new churches, and our time in Missouri will focus on connecting with some individuals who have worked in the South Pacific to gain some new understanding and insights from those who have gone before us.
We are planning on blogging more frequently on this trip, so check back every few days to stay connected!
Please pray for us as we travel. Pray that the Lord would continue to provide opportunities to share about our work overseas, that He would continue raise up partners in seeing the unreached reached with the good news, and that as a family we would continually recognize our dependance on Him throughout this whole process of support raising/team building and that we would not kill each other. 🙂
Thanks for your prayers!
