One year ago Lori and I spent the month of August in Mexico. We were in the Nahuatl village Las Moras with our daughter Katie and her co-worker Rachel. We had a wonderful time as we met the Nahuatl, experienced some of what life is like on a day to day basis for Katie and Rachel, and helped out wherever we could.

But never, NEVER, did we have any idea that one year later we would be back in Mexico. Yet, here we are! Not in quiet, little las Moras, but in the sprawling city of Chihuahua. And not as visitors and helpers, but as old missionaries in a new location.

As we look back, we can only see God’s faithfulness in preparing the way and guiding us here. Tom is teaching grades 5 and 6 at the mission’s school, Binimea. Lori is taking over the office responsibilities of a lady who is on home assignment. Monday (8/12) is the first day for both of us. As we look to the future, we can only trust in His promises to continue to faithfully guide and uphold us.

He will be teaching 5th and 6th grades.
We would appreciate your prayers for us to be faithful in our new ministries. Thank You.

I was wondering about you guys! thanks for the update. I hope you will have LOTS of fun as you take a break in Mexico! Steve joined me in the kitchen! I think working outside in the heat was the deciding factor…that, and seeing how much I needed the help in the kitchen. 🙂 He made the pumpkin pies last weekend. Besides that he doesn’t do much cooking, but it’s a help having the extra hands to help with the other work. We had a special time with our granddaughter last week. 10 lbs 7 oz. :oO She doesn’t seem like a big baby though…just right!
Love this update. God bless.
