“It was very SIMPLE.” I keep getting the same feedback whenever I teach or preach here: “Simple”. Have you ever heard someone make a comment and you weren’t quite sure if it was a compliment or not? Part of me wants to be offended at this response… and part of me can’t think of a better compliment after hearing the Bible taught. I’ve asked some local friends what people mean when they say it’s “simple” and it seems to be meant as a favorable affirmation of clarity. (Although I’m still not 100% sure…) But the truth I am landing on is this: don’t we want to share the most important news ever in the most understandable way possible? Please pray with us that God will give us more opportunities to share the Good News about what He has done for everyone. And that it would be “simple” and clear for people to understand and believe.
“When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with superior eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed the testimony of God. For I decided to be concerned about nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:1-2
Ministry Update
The past couple months have included: a couple survey trips, a visit to the north side to help other missionaries with some projects, quite a few teaching opportunities in churches or small groups, and lots of prayer for clear direction from the Lord for future ministry. The surveys didn’t turn up any helpful information but rather reconfirmed what we already thought, which was that another religion had moved into the area which effectively closes the door for us with our current legal status.
The decision for our family and team regarding future ministry is still in process. It’s amazing how many people have been involved and we are thankful for the different levels of leadership that are trying to help. God will guide us in His perfect timing; in the meantime, we hope to be faithful in the simple things that He gives us to do.

Family Update
Moriah is wrapping up second grade, continues to thrive on social life, and is very thankful her skin sores have finally cleared!
Maela is finishing preschool, but we aren’t sure if she’s quite ready for kindergarten so may wait another year yet. She is so attentive towards her baby sis and eagerly protects her from various hazards like heights, bugs, paper scraps, and legos.
There’s no doubt Haven is the favorite. At 11 months old we’re all a little shocked at the rate she’s growing up! She is close to walking which will open up a whole new world (for all of us!).
Allegra is ready for a summer break from teaching and is keen to know what to plan for next in life. Tyler is similarly ready :).

PRAYER:
- For God’s clear direction for each family on our team.
- For boldness and more opportunities to share the truth and make disciples here.
- Continued family health needs: Tyler’s knee and overall health, Allegra’s hair loss, The girls’ frequent minor issues (skin sores, stomach issues, colds & flus)
PRAISE:
- For a great team here to go through this process with.
- For the opportunities we have had to be a blessing here in town.
- For growth spiritually and physically in each of us, definitely preparing us for God’s future plans.
