Psalm 100:2 reminds us to “Serve the Lord with gladness.” Charles Spurgeon wrote, “Reader, let us put this question — do you serve the Lord with gladness? Let us show to the people of the world, who think our religion to be slavery, that it is to us a delight and a joy! Let our gladness proclaim that we serve a good Master.”
We’ve become missionaries because we want to serve the Lord with the skills and talents he’s given us. Part of becoming missionaries is reaching out to other Christians to form a support team who want to serve with us by praying for our ministry and financially supporting our ministry as we go to Papua New Guinea. Not everyone can go overseas, and we’re so thankful for those who have come alongside us to serve in this ministry through prayer and support. We know that there will be difficult times ahead for us as we move across the world, but as Spurgeon observed, “we serve a good Master.”
Please pray for us as we ask others to join us in the joy of being a part of the Great Commission, and to see the last unreached people groups have the opportunity to hear about Christ.
