If you’re on our facebook page, you’ll know that a couple days ago we posted that some big news was coming! So, drum roll please!!!!!
NTM USA home office has given us the green light to head to the field!
That’s excellent news, and a wonderful Christmas surprise. After talking with the USA home office and the field, it looks like we’re planning on a late January or early February departure, which will be here before we know it!
Thankfully the Lord knew what was going on, as we had none of our January travel plans finalized so we don’t have to reschedule many travel plans. It’s been good to see God’s hand in everything. In Papua New Guinea, one of the other members of the IT department is on home assignment, leaving them in need of more help. Another family there is unexpectedly returning home for medical reasons leaving a fully furnished house we can live in until their return. Pieces seem to be “falling” into place.
What we do and don’t know: (Also known as prayer requests.)
- Finances will be tight since we’re still below our full recommended support level. Please be praying that more individuals would answer the Lord’s call to join us in this work in PNG.
- We’re leaving end of January or early February. Specific dates will be determined after our entry permits are approved with the Papua New Guinea government and we buy plane tickets.
- Entry permits are applied for; pray for a speedy approval for them.
- There’s a lot of packing to do, plus some last minute dental cleanings and other appointments to wrap up before we leave the country!
