More Pictures!

August 3, 2017 by Bill & Katie Streeter

I move my feet, I go through the motions
But who’ll give purpose to chance
I am the dancer
I need the Lord of the dance
Steven Curtis Chapman “Lord of the Dance”

It’s been a while since we’ve shared how things are going here in Papua New Guinea. We want to share a few pictures of our part in “the dance.”

One gorgeous sunset over the Goroka mountains.
The front door of Bill’s office.
Where the magic happens…
Apparently, I need two phones…
The computer lab…one of the projects for the upcoming school year.
Coconut Milk powder…
…clearly not marketed to a U.S. audience.
Katie’s new recreation…floor hockey?
We’re always carrying something UP a hill here!
A local “sing-sing” as part of festivities for a visiting political candidate.
Liam by the bamboo “Court Place”
Typical walking path off the beaten roads.
James…water…yea, he’s in paradise.
Our children along side the Asaro River
Laundry day for a local lady.
Can’t beat the view while the laundry dries though!
I couldn’t not put this in…Aaron just wants to know why I’m so far behind!
We even put Grandma to work!
The ladies making tortillas.
The tortillas…they didn’t last very long.
Crocodile tail!
At times, this is cheaper than chicken. Pretty good too…
The gate market where we purchase most of our produce.
It doesn’t get much fresher than this!
Amazing vegetables!
Coffee from Goroka
Coffee from Mount Wilhelm.
So this is what a pineapple looks like when it’s growing.
Christmas in July! Why not? Grandma’s here!
Katie’s mom and one of our new friends.
The cockpit of one of our Kodiak planes.
They let me fly the plane! (Ok, no they didn’t, I just got to sit up front…)
Esta!
About to take off for our trip!
Some villages in PNG…
PNG Mountains
Mountains in the clouds.
Bismark sea near the coastal town we visited.
The coastal town we visited from the air.
Breakfast
The ocean view from our room.
Aaron!
These are the siblings moments that we love to witness.
Enjoying one of the beaches in the coastal town we visited.
Esta…our own personal Lorax!
Part of the Goroka valley from the air.
Landing at the Goroka airport.
The ad translates to “Happy with Coke.’
Steggy and her oldest daughter, who work at the bakery & store across the street.
A road leaving Goroka, during wet season, it’s nearly impassable.
This is why it takes so long to get into town…
Some local flowers.
