2 Great Grandparents, 2 Grandparents, 1 Great Uncle, 6 Parents, and 7 Children fill the house we’re in right now. Crazy, but great! We are with Chris’ family at his parents’ house and its the first time his family has all been together in a couple of years, and most likely the last for another 4-5 years. We’ll be here for another week before everyone heads back to their homes around the country.
We made it back from Alaska safe and sound and our kids (at least) acted glad to see us again. They did very well while we were gone (or so we were told) and we are forever indebted to their sitters. Our visit to Chris’ homeland was everything we hoped it would be and more. The snow had melted yet the mountains were still snow-capped and there’s no place we’ve been where God’s creation is more beautiful. Chris’ church was an encouragement to us as we continue our journey to PNG.
After our time with family we’ll be on the home stretch before departure. We’re over 30% of financial support and we need at least 50% before we can purchase plane tickets. We are hoping and praying for significantly more but we know that God is in control and knows exactly what we need.
We’re also looking for more avenues (these next couple of months) for sharing God’s calling on our lives. If you want to meet with us to hear more about our ministry please contact us right away and we’ll set something up. We’d also love to share in your Bible Study or Small Group, in a Sunday School Class or Youth Group, in your Church or in your home. We’re excited about what God is doing in our lives and in the lives of people around the world and we won’t hesitate to come share. Click the ‘contact’ tab above to get all our contact info.
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6
