The boy.

May 30, 2012 by Chris and Maggie Hostetter

The sick boy that was talked about in our previous post has died. Yesterday I helped the family as they chopped down a tree and used their knives to carve it into boards for a coffin. Today they will be burying him.

We do not know if the boy could have been saved had he been taken to a doctor, but we do know that the Aid Post, only a few hours hike away, will continue to be all but forgotten until their worldview drastically changes.

But we carry a message that, if accepted, will drastically change their worldview and change their world. Pray for us and our teammates that we would learn the language and culture rapidly so that we may move on to what we’re here to do; share the good news of Jesus Christ and see them come into a relationship with Him.

Pray that the light would shine in the darkness in Pal.
