Sorry, I forgot to take many pictures today. I hauled all of our personal stuff out of the Lockwoods’ house and filled up the girls’ bedroom with it. Mike put the finishing touches on all our cabinets and then he built our kitchen table (picture tomorrow, maybe). Bill and Josh tested our water system, fixed the leaks, tested it again, fixed another leak, and now we’re good to go (we think). Just about all the windows have screens and shutters, and Pete and Bill whipped out shelving for our pantry and each of the bedrooms. They got way more done today than I thought was possible. But what do I know? This is the first house building I’ve had the privilege of being part of.
Tomorrow is move-in day. The heli is supposed to be here with my family by 7am. Our living room furniture and co-workers will also be flying in tomorrow. I’ll do another blog post tomorrow night but then the daily posts will be over.
