Thank you for your prayers during my time in Oregon during Christmas. Meeting my little nephew, Lincoln, was the highlight for me!
Here are some things coming up in the next week that you can be praying about.
Remember Vicente from my last email? During Christmas break he got married to another one of our students, Erendira. Erendira is a Cora Indian from Nyarit, Mexico. When she came to Chihuahua to study at the Bible Institute, her and I became very good friends and I adopted her as my little sister. Today, this afternoon Vicente & Erendira are going to have the Religious ceremony for all their friends, church families, and missionaries here in Chihuahua.
Here is a picture of me with the happy couple and Vicente’s sister, Beatriz.
Tomorrow, bright and early, I have the opportunity to head to Vicente’s village, Chiltepin, and work with some veteran missionaries in doing a dental clinic. And I’m so excited! I will send four nights in Chiltepin and come back to Chihuahua on Thursday.
Please be praying for:
– travel safety (it’s a 12 hour trip) Sunday & Thursday
– time among the Guarijio indians
– the dental clinic – I’ve never be a part of a dental clinic so I don’t even know how I’ll do with it all
– an encouraging time with the missionaries there: Terry & Renee Reed, and their daughters Erica & Laura
Well, it’s time for me to go pick up the bouquet & cakes for the reception. I’ll send pictures after the trip!
Thanks.
Crystal
