We made it! On May 16th we completed our training at New Tribe Mission’s Missionary Training Center!
The last nine months here in Missouri have gone by far faster than we ever imagined. With a mixture of joy & sadness, we’ve said goodbye to our fellow students & co-laborers in the Lord’s harvest fields as we all go our separate ways in His service.
For us, this milestone puts us one step closer toward ministry back in Paraguay. In August, we head to Chihuahua, Mexico to improve our Spanish proficiency. After that, we will depart for Paraguay. Our time here in the States is now rapidly drawing to a close.
As missionaries with New Tribes Mission, we’re now part of a team of more than 3,000 full-time Christian workers taking the Gospel to the unreached tribal people of the world. In Paraguay alone, there are 17 tribal groups, eight of which are still unreached and need to hear the Gospel.
Mobilization…
The harvest fields of Paraguay truly are white unto harvest. But, more laborers are needed. That’s why our ministry in Paraguay will be heavily involved with mobilizing the national churches toward tribal church planting.
We’re excited about winning Paraguayans to the Lord, discipling them & seeing them established in New Testament churches. However, we’re also excited about our expanded role in seeing Paraguayan believers surrender to work with New Tribes as missionaries to the unreached tribal people of their own country.
To be effective in the task before us, however, we need more faithful partners to stand with us in the work. Specifically, we need additional financial partners.
Our current monthly support is at 42% of New Tribe’s recommended amount. We’re required to have at least 60% of the total raised by August before moving on to the Language Institute in Mexico. This translates to us needing only $900 of additional monthly support.
Please continue to pray for us in this needful area of finances. We’re anxious to move forward with the next step, and we know our Lord is faithful to work through His people for His glory.
More Milestones…
May 16th was a momentous date for the Pryors in another way. Not only did we compete our training at the Missionary Training Center on that day, but our son & his wife, Cameron & Katy, graduated from New Tribes Bible Institute at Waukesha, WI the same day! To make the day even more special, Cameron was chosen to speak on behalf of his class.
Then, on May 22nd, Cameron & Katy gave us our 1st grand child—Gracia Ruth Pryor!

Moving On…
Our next stop is Fort Stockton, Texas. That’s where our sending church is & where we’ll spend the summer before moving on to Chihuahua, Mexico to improve our Spanish.
As for Cameron & Katy, after they visit Katy’s relatives in New York state, they’ll head back to Texas. Cameron has a job waiting for him at a local airport where he’ll continue his flight training in preparation to fly with New Tribes.
In the meantime, our daughter & her husband, Autumn & Justin Bartron, are also moving forward. They’ve been accepted as students at New Tribes’ Missionary Training Center & will start classes in August. They plan to serve as tribal church planters with New Tribes in Indonesia.
