Here in southwest Texas spring is already transitioning into summer. We’ve been enjoying the cool, refreshing Nueces River water on hot afternoons. Our garden is producing lots of squash, zucchini, lettuce, cilantro, green beans, peas, cucumbers, and peppers. Soon we’ll have corn too. We’re getting to the end of mulberry and agarita berry season now, but one of the peach trees in the garden managed to produce a lot of peaches. So we’ve been harvesting those.
The kids are down to their last week of online assignments before summer break starts. What a different school year this has been than any of us envisioned! I’m sure you know the feeling. Overall, the kids are very happy with the extra time they’ve had at home.
As of right now it appears that flights are available back to Asia Pacific for the end of July (the time we are hoping to return), but that everything is at least twice as expensive as normal. You can imagine that the difference adds up quickly for a family of five! So you can be praying with us about that, as well as that we’ll be able to figure out and have in order all doctor’s letters, etc. that we need in order to be allowed back into the country. Likely we will need to observe a period of quarantine once we arrive back in Asia as well.
We’ve been able to resume some of our doctor and dentist appointments, so we are gradually working through that list again. Tyndale continues to be healthy. Praise the Lord!
