Here is our latest update, it has been two months since our last one. We are glad to share an update of our ministry with each of you.
We have been pretty busy with various activities and I have included pictures of these below. I (Eric) am officially done with language study here in town and Cherie is on the home stretch of finishing her assignments. For now, I will be focusing on participating in the activities of the local church, as well as joining the rotation of preaching in the local language.
We are planning a very important survey trip to an area interior this coming February. For this survey trip we will be actively seeking permission for the first time to move into the area that we are hoping will be the location of future ministry for us. This is something we are continuing to bring before the Lord and we cannot stress enough how important this step is for us. We are delighted to think of all of you who are lifting us up in your prayers as well.
We are expecting a baby in May of next year and this is also something we are bringing before the Lord to understand what is best if we should go ahead with moving interior before the baby is born or wait until after.

This last week I had the privilege to join a Shepherd/Deacon retreat. There were 43 leaders of the various local churches there. It was really neat to see and be a part of a small piece of what the Lord is doing in this part of the world. As you can see in the photo below we were all able to meet in the new church building that was provided by the state.
A few weeks ago, we were able to enjoy a refreshing getaway for a few days. We enjoyed playing in the sand, hearing the waves, and connecting with our Creator in a more natural environment.
We also had fun celebrating 2 birthdays in our family this month!
We so appreciate each of you who are able to read through our update and are able to give us the support that we need by lifting us up to the Father. As we continue to move forward in prayer with requests such as “what now, Lord,” we are continuing to realize our weakness and need to rely on the Lord through each step. We also think of many of you, as much as we know your story and are very thankful to be partners with you in carrying the gospel to areas where it is not yet known.
