How nice to send greetings to you again from Florida. We trust you had a good Easter and were encouraged anew with the death and resurrection of our Savior. We had a nice Easter breakfast buffet and then the Choir sang an Easter Suite of music during the morning service. It was enjoyed by all, and we praise the Lord for all He teaches us as we prepare and perform for Him. Over and over we learn, we can trust HIM with all the details!
We enjoy hearing from our kids scattered far and wide. We are so thankful for Skype and Facebook messaging. These free tools allow us face-to-face contact and what fun it is to see our grand kids growing up before our eyes! We are so thankful for the ways God is providing and teaching our kids as they walk with Him and serve Him. David and Joice picked up Beka and Cody in Boise for Spring Break a week ago, and they were able to have lunch in Boise with Amy and Hector and boys too!! What a fun reunion time. Beka and Cody were headed to some meetings in Spokane at the Moody Flight School where Cody goes next, for flight training. Beka checked in at a hospital she would like to work at and her story is amazing. We see God at work! You can find her story at www.codyandbeka.com.
Amy and Hector are settled in at their home church in Haines Oregon (10 miles from David and Joice) now, and looking forward to getting to know all the new folks at First Baptist in Haines, Oregon.
Tim and Charity are enjoying their work, yet they have their share of car problems. Pray that they will find a reliable car at a good price. Thanks!
Those two little boys in Nicaragua are growing so fast. Both are over 9 # each. Debby and Brett are squeezing out 4 hours of solid sleep a night (usually) and going on in the strength of the Lord. They are hosting part of a missions team visiting Nicaragua this week.
NTM US home offices are looking at moving to our new building in August. Much preparation needs to be done to finish getting ready for this move.
We rejoice in the news we hear from several countries of people groups hearing the gospel for the first time, and those beginning the Chronological teaching for the first time. God’s word is going forth, and we rejoice that we can be a part of that by assisting missionaries both on the field and off the field from the Member Services Offices. We do much paperwork, and try to encourage our Mission Family as we have contact with them for many various reasons. E-mail is such a blessing to have quick communication and answers quickly for folks who need to know things. God uses modern technology to speed His Word to those who have never had a chance to hear!
We appreciate it so much that you are willing to stand with us in prayer and in your gifts to our ministry to see the work continue.
We are looking at our 30 year anniversary with NTM in January 2017. We are praying for His direction as far as our work load and what He would have for us as we look at 2017 and beyond. Thanks for your prayers for us to have wisdom from above. (James 3:17-18) We would love to be able to travel out to Oregon and Colorado visit our friends and church families there, and along the way. We will see if the Lord would have that for us in 2017.
We are planting garden areas in our yard again. Already we have peppers, and kale, onions, and chives, and broccoli growing well, as well as many little seeds planted. We are enjoying the gardening efforts and time to work together outside.
We would love to hear from you! If we get a quick email or a phone call it would make our day! Send us a prayer request so we can pray intelligently for you! We’d love that.
We are very thankful for the ways you support our family, and offer encouragement! We praise the Lord for you! (Phil.1:3)
Many Blessings,
George and Linda Heckman
