Dear Friends and Family. NOVEMBER 2016
We trust you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
We are so thankful for the news from around the world that God’s word is going out, and people are responding to the message of the love of God! Also to hear of believer’s growing in Christ is so encouraging! One letter told of seeing believers sitting and writing stories out in their language for the literacy program in a previously illiterate people group! That is a blessing!
Another missionary in Brazil, whose finger had been severed in a building accident, has had his finger and tendons reattached. We are continuing to pray for movement and regaining feeling in the tip of that finger. They appreciate all of the prayers that have been presented to the Father for them. We praise the Lord that no infection set in.
We had a nice Thanksgiving visit with some of Linda’s family, and enjoyed their visits. The long weekend afforded us some time to clean out a storage shed, and that felt great! Saturday, Linda took a fall off a ladder in our Book warehouse, and managed to not bump her head, but all of the rest of her body seems to have acted as landing gears. Her left hand took the worst beating of the fall, and she has some butterfly bandages on the gash to keep everything intact until it has healed. Beka saw the pictures and said “Dr. Dad” did a great job patching up Linda’s hand. Ladder safety will be improved in the future! (Let me know if you want the unwrapped pictures of the hand.)
We are excited to have most of our kids coming home for Christmas. Some of Hector’s family will be able to spend some time in Florida with us for the holidays too. We will have to brush up on our Spanish!
Brett and Debby will not be able to come for Christmas as they were here in August. They have faced sickness on top of sickness for the entire time they have been back in Nicaragua. Usually 2 to 4 family members are sick at one time. Debby is sleep deprived, as well, so PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM!! They really appreciate it! Currently Brett, the twin boys and Chloe are sick. (Bronchitis, anemia, infections, and fevers with aches and pains, and other symptoms). Thank you for holding them up in prayer.
We have so many blessing from our Heavenly Father. Let us remain THANKFUL TO HIM in ALL things. (I Thessalonians 5:18). We are definitely THANKFUL for you!
