Warm Summer Greetings!
How nice to visit with you again! We have had quite an exciting month! I remember my youth director telling us, “Don’t be bored-serve the Lord!” Was he ever right!
We had a great visit with all the Grandchildren and their parents in June and July. Amy and Hector and boys are still with us until the end of this week. It has been a joy to have them here. They leave on Friday to go to Virginia to share in a church there, before heading back to Missouri. School will start for them quickly. This semester Amy will have 9-2 year olds in her preschool class. Please pray she starts feeling better soon, as that will be a huge challenge with morning sickness! Pray also for Hector as he continues in the training with progressively more complex subject matter, in his second language.
Brett and Debby rejoice that they received their Resident Visas for Nicaragua. This enables them to avoid going out of the country every few months to renew their tourist visas. All are healthy at this time. We are very thankful! They just added a new kitten to their family!
Beka called with a report of an eye condition she has developed. Please pray for them to have wisdom in treatment, and she will know the best route to take on that. She may need lasik surgery, and may need to stop wearing contacts. Cody is doing well in his flight training.
David and Joice need to find a new place to rent this month. We were kind of amazed at how expensive it is to rent in our area. Please pray they find a great little spot to call “home”. Joice is enjoying her new job at the dentist office. J
Tim and Charity are doing well in their home town of Ocala. Pray that they would make some good friends, and put down some roots in a good church there.
We are excited to report on the following to you! This year to date, we have had 25 new missionaries from Ethnos360 finish their Partnership Development and head out to their fields of service. There are 4 more ready to go during August and September! What a blessing! Please pray that the Lord would raise up more laborers to GO into His harvest!
We received a new update from the West Africa field this week. They have some ongoing needs for personnel there that we can pray for as well. Six people groups that are moving toward the completion of the New Testament Church Plant need another couple in the location. There are 7 new areas with needs of 2 couples or singles in each location. Six of these are new allocations, and one is a temporary assignment to learn the realities for the potential role of our organization in that area. Three or more other couples are needed in other areas of People Group Assessment on this field. The Harvest is great! (Matthew 9:37,38)
THANK YOU so much for the continuing role and interest you have in our lives and ministries with Ethnos360. Our goals and vision remain to reach out to those without hope. We celebrate the 75 year anniversary this year, of our mission. We are thankful for the ways God has led, and the ways He still leads! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
With our Thanks!
George and Linda Heckman
