Dear Friends and Family;
Well, this update is really just a string of prayer requests, we hope you don’t mind!
Today we got word that Ibu Tolot, one of the Buru believers died giving birth to her sixth child. The baby, their 5th son, survived. Please pray for pak Lipus and his six children. We can rejoice in knowing we will see her again, but are saddened for her family and their loss.
Paul McDole and Herman Kododi will be heading to the Buru villages today for a month long visit. Pray for their families while they are gone and pray that they will be a comfort to pak Lipus, and the rest of the Buru people. They are taking in more scripture and a booklet of praise songs that Greg and Herman put together.
We have four young Buru teenagers living here in town with different families while they go to school. We have just begun meeting every Sunday afternoon to study through the chonological lessons with them. Please pray that this will strengthen their faith. It is so fun to see the delight on their faces as they sing songs and hear scripture in their own language.
We leave tomorrow for Jakarta, I (Pam) have Education Committee meetings there and since Greg’s folks will be there the whole family decided (with a little arm twisting from Grandma) to go. We will be there for one week and will arrive home Thanksgiving day. Pray for the meetings as we will be evaluating how we are helping parents to educate their children and making plans for future education needs across Indonesia.
When we return home we will have a brief 18 days until we head home for furlough, pray as we pack and wrap things up here, and especially for the LONG trip home. We praise God that we have a place to stay while we are in Sacramento and also a house to live in in Bozeman.
Thank you so much for your prayers, support and encouragement
