We left the little sea coast town early, watching the dawn paint the sky orange with a bit of red wrapped around the clouds hanging low along the airstrip. There in the little harbour lay four fishing boats throwing back a little glow as the morning sun danced off their wet decks. This is a beautiful place I thought as the wheels of the jet lifted and we headed into the early morning dawn. This flight less than one hour would take us back to finish a few more weeks of E-2 before heading home.
Is it the mysteries of the regions beyond that seem to lure my wondering soul making me forever restless? No, it is much bigger than that, I have been challenged by Jesus the One that has said go. Matthew 28:19 and 20 have forever more been engraved in my mind and I cannot but go when the Holy Spirit begins to nudge a more than willing heart.
In about four weeks Janie and I will be headed home again, not to brag of all the places we have been but we do delight in the fact Jesus Christ still calls on us when He needs someone to send. Lord keep this old missionary from ever becoming a “Rhinestone Missionary”, you know Lord, those that dress and talk missions but never seem to make it to the outer banks where many walk in spiritual darkness asking over and over again, “Does anyone care for my soul?” Jack

Jack, my brother! A man after God’s own heart! A spiritual descendent of that old man who looked thru the executioner’s axe. The Romans could cut off his head but Satan could head him off. Keep pressing toward the mark and showing the rest of us slowpokes where the trail leads.
